Hey Hey, Friday! Time for the Weekly History Wrap-Up!
Let’s start things off at New York’s Dyckman Farm with a Hessian Hut from the Revolutionary War.
Documentarian extraordinaire, Ken Burns, is back at it again. And I, for one, can’t wait to see his upcoming offerings.
The remains of World War II flyer, Martin Murray were recently returned to his hometown of Lowell, Massachusetts for a proper military burial.
A remnant from the Battle of Britain, a German Dornier 17 bomber, was discovered largely intact, buried in the sand off the English coast.
And lets not forget the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War. A Flint, Michigan woman, Emma Edmonds, actually cross dressed to get into the action.
The History Junkie is out of here. Til Monday, have a historical weekend!
