Ah, Friday. Time for our Weekly History Wrap-Up.

A California man, Manuel Victor Loera, will receive the French Legion of Honor medal for his service in World War II.  Congrats Manuel!  You deserve it.

How about a little background on Memorial Day?

Genocide suspect, Ratko Mladic, has been captured.  The former Bosnian Serb military chief now awaits a war crimes trial, charged in the killings of thousands of Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica.

The remains of Army Pfc. Samuel Watkins were returned to North Carolina this week, some 60 years after his service in the Korean War.

In Huntsville, Alabama, Dan Keenan was reunited with the Korean War vets that he says saved his life.

Family members of Vang Pao speak out about the former general, and his role in the Vietnam War.

A team of volunteers is working to identify the some 8,000 Civil War veterans buried in Brooklyn, New York’s Green-Wood Cemetery.

Loudon County, Virginia will relive its Civil War past.  The area is also well known as home to many of the History Junkie’s ancestors.

And lastly, the Rolling Thunder motorcycle caravan roars into D.C. to bring attention to the MIA/POW issue.  Great work ladies and gents.
