Friday again?  Hells yes!  Before you all hit the road, how about a wrap-up of this week in history?

What happens to a veteran’s remains when they are unclaimed at the time of death?  Well, New York City has stepped forward to provide full military rites.  Bravo NYC!

As feared, violence has accompanied a historic vote on southern independence in the Sudan.

And lastly, Major Dick Winters, leader of Easy Company – 506th PIR, brought to America’s collective attention through Ambrose’s “Band of Brothers,” passed away this last week.
