90th Infantry Division Pic of the Week: Bastogne, Belgium.

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m really interested in the Battle of the Bulge.  I love this shot of Bastogne, Belgium shortly after the liberation of the city from the Germans.  Looks a little busy, huh?

Great picture. In 1948 I worked one summer as a delivery boy for a blueprint company in Houston. I was about 13 years old. There was a young man working there who had been in that battle. I was too darn young to appreciate it then, but I wish I could talk with him now. I only remember that he was in a armored outfit, and I am sure he saw a lot. He never talked about it.
